What am I doing in 2012
Mon Jan 2: Start to work with Rideok iPhone project, created a simple login function with a tab bar view main page to deal with Google Map including showing current location and communicate back with RoR server.
Tue Jan 3: Write a custom library extending ROME for Flowplayer RSS playlist integration with RESTful endpoint.
Wed Jan 4: Integrate Flowplayer’s various plugins to make them work. Plugins that I use including bwcheck (dynamic bitrate detection switch), cluster (client-side load balance), flashembed (flash version detection), rtmp (streaming service to Amazon CF). Also use UISegmentControl for iOS project to distinguish types upon make web service.
Thu - Mon Jan 5-9: Doing all sorts of RTMP streaming service with Amazon CloudFront and Edgecast, to make video streaming working well on all different browsers and os.
Tue Jan 10: Research on cache on browser side and server side, how to use “cache-control” header to specify private and public cache for any proxy or downstreaming cache to work.
Wed Jan 11: Not many interesting story, some refactory stuff.
Thu Jan 12: Continuing refactoring.
